Smoothie King offers new smoothie line
Smoothie King is hoping to improve its image as both a health-conscious concept and a meal destination with the launch of its new product, the Lean1 Smoothie.
The Lean1, which was tested in Jacksonville, Florida, and Baton Rouge, Louisiana, earlier this year, will be available in Chocolate, Vanilla, and Strawberry flavors when it rolls out nationwide later this month. Bobby Williams, vice president of marketing for Smoothie King, says the Lean1’s weight-loss protein powder and nutrients will make it a must-have menu option for the health conscious.

Frozen drinkable treats enjoying burst in commercial prominence
What’s better than an ice cold glass of fresh lemonade on a steamy summer afternoon?Some would say a frozen lemonade, or fruit smoothie or even a frosty, coffee-inspired beverage in an icy cup complete with a straw for sipping. While frothy, frozen libations have always been a warm-weather favorite, these beverages have recently experienced a burst in commercial prominence.

Beverage pump helps smoothie operators

Area developer opens Jamba in new markets

In 2011, smoothie companies including Jamba Juice, Orange Julius and Robeks have influenced students at Country Day to buy smoothies. Ranging from tropical, protein, light, healthy, and classic options, these companies are making drinkable food in Sacramento even more popular than it used to be. People have always loved blended fruit drinks, but today, children and adults are looking for more healthy options.
